After going undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft, Mamadi Diakite signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks on November 24, 2020. He was assigned to the Lakeland Magic of the NBA G League, where he made a significant impact. During his time with Lakeland, Diakite averaged 18.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, earning selections to the All-NBA G League First Team, the NBA G League All-Defensive Team, and the NBA G League All-Rookie Team. On April 21, 2021, he signed a multi-year standard NBA contract with the Bucks, contributing to their NBA championship win in his rookie season.
