His performance earned him All-State honors for the second consecutive year, and he was selected to participate in the prestigious 2013 Under Armour All-America Game. Adams was rated as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com and was considered the third-best defensive lineman in his class. Although he initially leaned towards signing with Clemson, he ultimately committed to play college football for Auburn University on National Signing Day in February 2013.

Montravius Adams was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, being the 93rd overall pick. He signed his rookie contract on July 5, 2017, but faced challenges early in his career, including a foot surgery that caused him to miss the entire preseason. Adams made his NFL debut in 2018 and recorded his first career sack against Miami Dolphins quarterback Brock Osweiler. He played for the Packers until 2020, contributing to the team’s defensive line.
