Patrick Baldwin Jr. was born on November 18, 2002, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He grew up in Evanston, Illinois, until he was in the eighth grade. During his early years, he participated in several basketball teams, including the Fellowship of Afro-American Men (FAAM). In 2017, the Baldwin family moved to Wisconsin when his father, Pat Baldwin, became the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Baldwin Jr. played basketball for Hamilton High School in Sussex, Wisconsin. He signed with the Warriors on July 6, 2022, and was assigned to their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. Baldwin made his NBA debut on October 30, 2022, in a game against the Detroit Pistons, where he played only in the final minute. On December 21, 2022, he scored a career-high of 17 points in a game against the Brooklyn Nets, showcasing his potential as a player.
