As a senior in 2019, he caught 61 passes for 1,025 yards and 11 touchdowns, showcasing his skills as a standout player. Wilson committed to play college football for the University of Michigan in July 2019. As a sophomore in 2021, he continued to develop, appearing in all 13 games and catching 25 passes for 420 yards and two touchdowns. In the 2022 season opener against Colorado State, Wilson scored a 61-yard touchdown, further solidifying his role in the team. By his junior year in 2022, he had caught 25 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his versatility as a receiver and rusher.
