Timothy Liljegren was born on 30 April 1999 in Kristianstad, Sweden. He grew up in a family that emphasized sports, particularly ice hockey. Raised by his mother, Lena Liljegren, Timothy has two older brothers, William and Anthony, who also played hockey. His family moved to Ängelholm at the age of 14 to support his aspirations in the sport, as it was home to the Rögle BK hockey program.
