Johnny Juzang Joins Zenit: A Game-Changer for Radonjic

Zenit Saint Petersburg has announced the acquisition of Johnny Juzang, a former NBA guard, to strengthen its squad for the remainder of the season and beyond. This new agreement ensures that Juzang will remain with the team through the 2025/26 season, providing head coach Dejan Radonjic with an additional scoring threat from the perimeter.

Juzang’s Professional Journey and NBA Background

Johnny Juzang, who began his professional career in 2022, entered the NBA undrafted but quickly found opportunities, starting with the Utah Jazz. After three seasons with Utah, he joined the Minnesota Timberwolves at the beginning of the current season. During his time in Minnesota, Juzang appeared in 21 games, averaging 2.0 points in just over four minutes each game before being waived in February.

Throughout his four NBA seasons, Juzang played a total of 123 games with 23 starts, splitting time between Utah and Minnesota. He posted averages of 6.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in roughly 16 minutes per contest, showcasing his ability to contribute as a wing player.

Zenit’s Current Standing and Expectations for Juzang

Currently ranked fourth in the VTB United League with a 20–9 record, Zenit looks to leverage Juzang’s skills as they push toward the playoffs. The 23-year-old’s addition aims to add depth and scoring options for Radonjic’s team throughout the crucial stretch of the campaign.
