Danny Kanell, the former New York Giants quarterback, issued a strong warning to any NFL teams considering trading for Hill. Speaking on “Fearless With Jason Whitlock,” Kanell expressed doubt about whether Hill’s potential contributions outweigh the problems he could bring.
“Absolutely not,” Kanell said on Wednesday, via “Fearless With Jason Whitlock.” “I’m a Miami Dolphins fan too, so I have seen it firsthand. Like, there was this dynamic that was unfolding where I just don’t think, I mean, it’s always, is the juice worth the squeeze? At this point in his career, I do not think Tyreek Hill is worth the squeeze.”
Kanell pointed to two specific incidents to support his viewpoint. First, he mentioned an event where Hill was pulled over on his way to a game, which Kanell argued could have been handled smoothly if Hill had cooperated by lowering his car window and presenting registration. The former quarterback also shared a personal insight from a training camp conversation, where Hill spoke about football and his desire to be a great father.
Kanell later learned that Hill had fathered multiple children with different women, leading him to question how Hill could fulfill such a role effectively given those circumstances.
Teams Considering Tyreek Hill’s Next Destination
Kansas City, which originally drafted Hill in 2016, remains the leading candidate to reacquire him. Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones has actively reached out online to recruit Hill back, but salary cap constraints and past issues may force Kansas City to explore other teams for the receiver.
Other franchises showing strong interest include the Baltimore Ravens, who want to boost their receiving corps alongside Zay Flowers, as well as the Denver Broncos. Hill could be a valuable asset for Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, despite off-field concerns. The Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Chargers are also among the contenders pursuing the veteran wideout.
