Early Life and Background

Brady Tkachuk was born on September 16, 1999, in Scottsdale, Arizona, during his father’s tenure with the Phoenix Coyotes. He was raised in the St. Louis suburb of Creve Coeur, Missouri, after his father’s trade to the St. Louis Blues in 2001. Tkachuk comes from a prominent hockey family; his father, Keith Tkachuk, is a former NHL player, and his brother, Matthew, currently plays for the Florida Panthers. Tkachuk also has a younger sister, Taryn, who played NCAA Division I field hockey at the University of Virginia.

Tkachuk began his hockey journey with the St. Louis AAA Blues U16 team before committing to the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP).
