Nicknamed ‘the Tiger’, he was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round, 13th overall, in the 2007 NHL entry draft. Eller made his NHL debut in 2009 with the Blues and later played for teams including the Montreal Canadiens and Washington Capitals.
