His first defensive action came on November 19, 2017, against the Los Angeles Rams, where he recorded his first career sack on quarterback Jared Goff. However, during the 2019 offseason, Bower suffered a torn Achilles tendon, which led to him being placed on the non-football injury list. He was subsequently waived from the non-football injury list on October 15, 2019.
