Brandon Tory Williams (born November 22, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, Williams began his professional career with stints at various teams, showcasing his scoring talent and earning the NBA G League scoring champion title in 2025.
Early Life and Background
Brandon Williams was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California, where he developed his skills as a basketball player. Williams was recognized as a four-star recruit and committed to playing college basketball for the University of Arizona in May 2018.
Path to Basketball
At the University of Arizona, Williams played for the Wildcats during the 2018–19 season, averaging 11.4 points per game. He earned honorable mention honors on the Pac-12 Conference All-Freshman team. Unfortunately, he underwent knee surgery in 2019, which caused him to miss his sophomore season. Following his recovery, he left Arizona in 2020 to prepare for his professional career.

Early Career (2021–2022)
After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, Brandon Williams joined the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League in October 2021. He made an immediate impact, averaging 17.7 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game in his first ten games. On December 26, 2021, he signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trail Blazers to fill out their roster during a COVID-19 outbreak. He was later re-acquired by the Westchester Knicks and had a standout game on January 22, 2022, scoring a career-high 35 points against the Maine Celtics.
Breakthrough (2023–present)
Williams signed a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers on February 22, 2022, but was waived in October. He then joined the College Park Skyhawks for the 2022–2023 season. On September 12, 2023, he signed with the Orlando Magic but was waived shortly after. He joined the Osceola Magic before signing a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks on December 28, 2023. Williams reached the 2024 NBA Finals with the Mavericks, where they lost to the Boston Celtics. He was re-signed on July 12, 2024, and on March 7, 2025, he recorded a career-high 31 points against the Memphis Grizzlies. On April 8, 2025, he signed a multi-year contract with the Mavericks.
